Q1: How to apply for National Insurance? 
A1:According to the regulations, students who have stayed more than 6 consecutive months must apply for National Health Insurance. If you are qualified, please contact Section of Overseas Student Affairs for your application. (Ms. Judy Yang, 07-3426031 ext. 2642)

 

Eligible persons: international students (except for students from China) who have stayed in Taiwan for 6 consecutive months after arrival should participate in National Health Insurance beginning from the 7th month. 

 


Q2: How much does the National Insurance Fee cost? 
A2:National Insurance Fee: NTD 749 dollars per month.

 

For overseas Chinese students, the payable fee is NTD 374 dollars (the remaining fee of NTD 374 will be subsidized by the Overseas Community Affairs Council).

The fee will be included in your tuition. Students who fail to pay for the fee will be regarded as not having paid for the tuition and will be asked to take a leave of absence. 

 


Q3: If I lost my National Insurance Card, what should I do? 
A3:Please bring your resident permit, one ID photo (2x2 inch) and 200 NTD to Section of Overseas Students Affairs to apply for it.

 


Q4:If I am not qualified to apply for the National Insurance, what I can do to protect my personal medical rights in Taiwan? 
A4:School will help every international student to apply for International Student Group Medical Insurance by Cathay Life Insurance.

 


Q5:How to apply for the insurance compensation? 
A5:Please bring the below required documents to Section of Overseas Student Affairs: 
1.Copy of passport 
2.Copy of ARC 
3.Diagnostic report 
4.Receipts of Payment 
5.Copy of your bankbook cover 
6.Application form
